I am a PhD student at the University of Victoria, British Columbia. My supervisor is Dr. Sue Whitesides, with whom I also did my Master's at the same university (graduated in April 2013). I completed my BSc Engineering at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology under the supervision of Dr. Md. Saidur Rahman.
My research interest includes Graph Drawing, Graph Theory, Computational Geometry and Robotics. I work in the Computational Geometry and Robotics(CGAR) Lab, where we are always trying to apply our geometric results to motion planning for robots.
Currently I am doing an internship at Schneider Electric in Victoria, BC from May, 2014 to August, 2014.
I am interested in a lot of things. I did my Master's on paper folding algorithms in 2D, and still find interest in it. I experimented with the 3D printer in our lab( Thing-o-matic Makerbot 6) for a while. I printed a 3D puzzle box that you can see here. Recently, data mining and randomized algorithm caught my attention. But, no matter how busy I am, I always find time for my favourite topic "graph drawing".
My contact information is given below. Although I don't always reply to my emails right away, I do check them as soon as I can.
