Properties of Engineering Materials
Units: 1.5, Hours: 3-1.5*-1
Atomic structure, arrangement and movement; microstructural development and heat treatment; physical properties of ferrous and nonferrous metals, semiconductors, ceramics, polymers and composites; corrosion and mechanical properties.
Note: *Indicates a 3 hour laboratory taken by students on alternate weeks. Not open to students with credit in 325.
Prerequisites: CHEM 101, 102, or 150.
Undergraduate course in Mechanical Engineering offered by the Department of Mechanical Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering.
