Multiresolution Signal and Geometry Processing
Units: 1.5, Hours: 3-0-1.5
Multirate signal processing, upsampling, downsampling, sampling-rate conversion, polyphase techniques, multirate filter banks, multiresolution signal representations, wavelets, digital geometry processing, polygon meshes, subdivision surfaces/wavelets, efficient multiresolution signal processing. Applications in data compression, computer graphics/animation, geometric modeling, communications, and signal processing. Use of programming languages and libraries such as C, C++, Open GL, and CGAL.
Prerequisites: 310.
Undergraduate course in Electrical Engineering offered by the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering.
