A history of the Ukrainian people from the 17th-century Cossack uprising to the emergence of independent Ukraine in 1991. Emphasis of nation-building within a multiethnic empires in Eastern Europe, the Russian Revolution of 1917, World War II and the development of modern society.
Note: Credit will be granted for only one of 377, SLST 363, SLAV 377. No knowledge of Russian required.
