Co-operative Education Program
Participation in the Co-operative Education program - which enables students to acquire knowledge, practical skills for employment, and workplace experience - is optional for Master's and PhD students. Master's students complete two work terms, and PhD students complete three (a work term consists of four months of full-time, paid employment), and students undertake study and work terms in alternating sessions). Students require permission from their academic adviser and graduate adviser, as well as the co-op coordinator, to participate in the co-op program. Interested students should contact the Co-op office (located in MCK 112) early in the term in which they are applying. Students are also referred to General Regulations: Graduate Co-op.
