Do you need help with your course work?
Students having academic difficulties are encouraged to seek help from their instructors and teaching assistants (TAs). TAs are graduate students hired to assist instructors with various tasks, for example, preparing course material, grading assignments, holding office hours to help students with questions and, in some cases, conducting labs.
Students registered in ECON 103 or ECON 104 can go to the Help Centre, run by TAs, located in BEC 341. Hours vary each term – check the schedule posted outside the room.
The Economics Course Union also runs a volunteer Tutor Centre in BEC 339. Schedule is posted outside the room.
Students who require more assistance can acquire the services of a private tutor. Contact the Economics Office for more information.
