Be an Ally- Listen up! Speak out! Get involved!

The EQHR Office and The HREV

The Human Rights Education Volunteers (HREV) is an initiative of the UVic Equity and Human Rights (EQHR) Office. The HREV promotes inclusive, respectful and welcoming study and work environments on campus. The program's goal is to provide trained volunteers with the opportunity to design and facilitate educational workshops for members of the university community.

Objectives & Approach

The HREV provides educational workshops and resource materials focused on social justice and human rights issues to members of the community, through volunteering and volunteer involvement in human rights education. For this, HREV has a fluid and flexible design that intends to promote and encourage the strengths and interests of volunteers.
