The University of Victoria Foundation
First established in 1954 as the Victoria College Foundation and then renamed in 1979, the University of Victoria Foundation now oversees 1087 endowment funds with a total fund balance of $291 million. With the generous support of our donors, these endowed funds provide over $7.8 million for scholarships, bursaries, fellowships, library acquisitions and program funds on an annual basis.
An administrative committee prepares disbursement budgets for the endowed funds to ensure donor intentions are respected.

The U.S. Foundation for the University of Victoria
The U.S. Foundation for the University of Victoria was officially incorporated as of June 16, 1997 in Washington D.C. The Foundation is organized and is operated exclusively for charitable and educational purposes; namely to encourage and foster an appreciation by the American public of the work being conducted by the University of Victoria in various educational disciplines deemed to be of interest to the American public.
Donors who are citizens of, or resident in, the U.S., such as U.S. Foundations and Corporations, former members of faculty, and friends of the University of Victoria living in the United States but are not alumni of the University of Victoria, may direct their gift to the U.S. Foundation for the University of Victoria. The U.S. Foundation for the University of Victoria is a 501(c)(3) corporate charitable body registered with the Internal Revenue Service in the United States. Receipt documentation for the donation will be issued from the U.S. Foundation and can be used for tax benefits in the United States.

The Foundation of the University of Victoria
The Foundation for the University of Victoria was created in 1987 by the BC University Foundations Act, and is an agent of the Crown. Gifts to the Foundation can be outright gifts of cash, life insurance, real estate, art and art collections, books and manuscripts, securities or bonds, subject to acceptance by the Foundation board.
