The University of Victoria is a “destination” university, attracting creative and intelligent students and faculty members from across Canada and around the world. With more than 70 percent of our students coming from outside our immediate region and more out-of-province students than any other Canadian university west of McGill, we provide a highly rated student and campus life experience.

Our ability to attract students of the highest calibre, irrespective of their financial means, largely depends on our capacity to offer attractive scholarships and bursaries. These awards are particularly valued by students from afar, who especially come to UVic to pursue their dreams of post-secondary education and a bright future.

This is where you, our generous donors, play a pivotal role and become a vital part of students’ lives and achievements. We are grateful that you have partnered with us in offering students the highest quality education and providing the best facilities for learning.

“With this scholarship, I have been able to focus on my studies instead of worrying about how I will pay my tuition fees.  I have been able to devote my time to better understand my coursework and achieve a high academic standing.” This comment from a second year Business student echoes the relief that many student award recipients express as they receive help from generous donors.
