Masters
- Jonathan Morris, a Master's student in the School of Child and Youth Care, is one of the recipients of the Andy Farquharson Award for Excellence in Graduate Student Teaching. Read his story in The Ring.

Doctoral
- Jonathan Chui, a PhD candidate in the Department of Chemistry, and James Rowe in the School of Environmental Studies are both recipients of this year's Andy Farquharson Award for Excellence in Graduate Student Teaching. Read their story in The Ring.
- Sharon Lee, a PhD Candidate, working with a multidisciplinary team of neuroscientists at the University of Victoria has discovered that video games increase brain activity by utilizing the area of the brain associated with spatial reasoning and navigation. Read the full story here.

- Twelve awards were recently granted to UVic graduate students from the REACH (Research in Early Education and Child Health) group, the UVic branch of the Human Early Learning Partnership (HELP), a consortium of 6 BC universities. Eight students were recognized for exemplary research relevant to early childhood and four students were recipients of thesis funding.
