Human Resources Services

Human Resources provides the following services:

• Employment Services - advertising employment opportunities and coordinating the hiring of staff, immigration issues for staff and faculty.
• Faculty Renewal and Academic Leadership Initiatives - develops faculty recruitment and retention initiatives as well as orientation, training and development for academic administrators and faculty.
• Classification and Compensation – overseeing job evaluation plans and compensation policies.
• Benefits - overseeing employee benefits.

• Labour Relations - negotiating and administering the collective agreements.
• Learning and Development – planning and offering employee learning and development opportunities.
• Organization Development – providing consulting and coaching services to support a positive and productive organization (e.g. change management, conflict resolution, strategic planning, performance development, and teambuilding).
• Work-Life Support – providing services that supporting a healthy workplace including Health Practices (e.g. active living, substance abuse, work-life balance) and Attendance and Disability Management (short-term illness/injury, return to work and physical accommodations).
