HUMAN RESOURCES - ADMINISTRATION

kane kilbey

Kane Kilbey, Associate Vice-President, Human Resources (250-721-8031) kanek@uvic.ca is responsible for all facets of administration and development of the Human Resources functions on campus including Organization Development, Occupational Health and Safety, Labour Relations, Return to Work, and Benefits.

Lynne Johnstone, Manager, HR Systems & Workforce Analytics (250–721-8123) lynnej@uvic.ca manages the general Human Resources office and is responsible for the development, maintenance and supervision of the computerized Human Resource Information System (BANNER). She is also responsible for HR data management, including ad hoc reporting and consulting on campus wide HR reporting needs and the HR FAST reporting tool.

Kate Fuller, HR Assistant to the Associate VP and Labour Relations (250-721-8032) kfuller@uvic.ca provides administrative and secretarial assistance to the Associate Vice-President, Human Resources, HR Consultants, Labour Relations Team, and other projects as assigned.

 

HUMAN RESOURCES & ORGANIZATION DEVELOPMENT

Deborah Lang, Director, Organization Development and Human Resource Consulting (250-472-5490) djlang@uvic.ca is responsible for leading HR and OD services incuding: HR Consulting Services, Organization Development and Learning and Development.

Barbara Hogan, Manager, Organization Development and Learning Services (250-721-8088) hoganb@uvic.ca is responsible for managing Human Resources' programs and projects and conducts needs assessments for HR, Organization Development, and Labour Relations. In addition she is responsible for developing and implementing the Learning and Development training schedule offered to UVic employees, including the HR certificate programs. Barbara also leads a number of training sessions.

Clare Malcolmson, Learning and Development Coordinator (250-853-3181) claremal@uvic.ca is responsible for the Learning and Development activities including scheduling, tracking registrations, certificate programs, special events, course planning and facilitates a number of training workshops. Responsibilities also include managing the departmental website and supporting the HR Management Team as required.

Manuela Lale, HR Assistant (250-721-8085) responds to telephone and counter enquiries from employees and the general public, and provides clerical support as needed to other areas.

ORGANIZATION DEVELOPMENT CONSULTING SERVICES

Ardis

Ardis Myette, Organization Development Consultant (250-472-5446) amyette@uvic.ca is responsible for providing Organization Development services including support for change management, conflict resolution, strategic planning, team building, and organizational re-design. Ardis is also responsible for Competency Development and Leadership and Employee Development on campus.

Shelley Kohlmann, Director, Total Compensation & Recruitment (250-472-4359) skohlman@uvic.ca is responsible for the development, implementation, and administration of total compensation and recruitment strategies for the University's executive, professional and support employee groups.

career development.  Kam is also responsible for coordinating the
Administrative Support Services function on campus and supporting the HR Management Team.

LABOUR RELATIONS

Steve Gorham, Director, Labour Relations (250-721-7559) sgorham@uvic.ca is responsible for developing and enhancing the University's relationship with its employees through its representative Unions. Steve provides strategic, tactical and technical guidance on contract administration issues and the design and development of Human Resources policies and procedures, and chairs University committees negotiating collective agreements.

Eric

Eric Mayes, Manager, Employee Relations & Labour Relations 250-721-8086 ericm@uvic.ca is responsible for coordinating the University's collective agreements and labour relations policies including contract administration and interpretation, grievance/arbitration, and chairing labour management committees. Eric will also chair some negotiating committees. In addition, Eric faciliates a number of training events.
