This site was created on a Macintosh computers using OS 9.1. The site works best with Internet Explorer 5+ on PC and Mozilla on Mac. If you use Quicktime to play the audio portions - especially when using Netscape - you will likely find that it will use the full window, thereby hindering your view of the text. I'm sorry, but this is a problem with Quicktime, not this website.
This site was intended to accompany the first semester Spanish 100 course at the University of Victoria, and targets vocabulary, both reading and aural comprehension, as well as grammar.
Each unit presents vocabulary first, then comprehension followed by grammar introductions and exercises. The order you choose to do the material can vary to suit your interests.
Although created to accompany a first year course, the website can be used as a stand alone course in Spanish. It provides a good cross section of presentation followed by activity, plus a glossary of terms.
