Undergraduate Conference Fund

With increasing frequency over the past few years, undergraduate students have requested funding from the Dean's office to present conference papers. Although many departments are encouraging undergraduates to consider themselves researchers, these students do not have access to the support for conference presentations available to graduate students from the Faculty of Graduate Studies.

The Faculty of Humanities would therefore like to make base funding of $300 available to undergraduates who submit to the Associate Dean a letter of request including a budget, an abstract of the paper and the invitation to present.

Normally, not more than one request per student per academic year will be considered. It is expected that departments will also contribute funding to students who request it. There is no deadline date.
