CALL FOR PAPERS

CELÁNEN: A Journal of Indigenous Governance is a student-run, peer-reviewed, online journal that, once a year, publishes interdisciplinary student work on Indigenous cultural, social, political, and economic self-determination in local and global contexts and all points in between. Through this venue, the journal aims to create and sustain dialogue between Indigenous and non-indigenous students, teachers, leaders, and community members on issues holding critical and timely relevance to Indigenous nations and their community goals.

Original submissions are now being accepted for Volume 2, which is due to be published in January/2005. The deadline for these submissions is September 1, 2004, but potential contributions are always welcome, and, if received after the deadline, will be considered for Volume 3.

While all submissions should be consistent with the journal's broad mandate, students of any discipline are encouraged to submit work of any format, including, but not limited to, scholarly articles, rejoinders, commentary, poetry, photography, drawing, painting, or other artistic expressions.

All submissions are subject to blind review by the CELÁNEN Editorial Board. For that reason, authors are asked to append to their submission a separate cover page containing the title of the work, their contact information, and a short biographical statement. Authors are also asked to ensure that their citations follow the conventions found in the American Political Science Association (APSA) style manual, versions of which may be found at:

http:// www.wisc.edu/writing/Handbook/DocAPSA.html

or

http://dept.lamar.edu/polisci/DRURY/drury.html.

One electronic copy of all submissions should be sent to the attention of the CELÁNEN Editorial Board using the following email address: igov@uvic.ca .
