Mission statement

ĆELÁNEN: A Journal of Indigenous Governance will foster and promote interdisciplinary student research relating to Indigenous cultural, social, political, and economic self-determination in local and global contexts and all points between. As a student-run, peer-reviewed, online publication, the journal aims to create and sustain dialogue between Indigenous and non-indigenous students, teachers, leaders, and community members regarding issues holding critical and timely relevance to Indigenous nations and their community goals. To that end, original submissions related to the journal's mandate are encouraged from any discipline, including, but not limited to, scholarly articles, rejoinders, commentary, poetry, photography, drawing, painting, and other artistic expressions.
