Indigenous Adult Orientation
Indigenous Adult Orientation

Making the transition into university is hard-tougher still is making that transition as an adult with experience in the work force. During the Indigenous Adult Orientation, we hope to ease that transition by giving adult learners an in-depth look at how the University of Victoria works, while also supplying you with the tools required to succeed in a post-secondary environment.
"Everything was amazing and I loved every minute of it... I enjoyed learning more about UVic."
This three-day event, hosted by the Office of Indigenous Affairs and sponsored by the RBC Foundation, includes campus tours and info sessions on topics like budgeting, co-operative education, scholarships and bursaries, as well as laboratory and class simulations with departments including Computer Science, Child & Youth Care, Medicine and many more.

Registration is limited and applications will be reviewed on a first some, first serve basis. Travel, accommodations and meals will be covered for all selected participants (watch for the August application deadline annually).
"I think that the staff are well rounded people who touched my heart with their skills and knowledge of not just our culture, but life in general. My hats off to you guys!!! You have just reinforced my dream of going back to school and making it a reality!"
