Lacandón Cultural Heritage

The goal of the project is to process 15 hours of audio-video recordings, in way demonstrated. It will be available to the anybody to use for research and analyses. It can be downloaded via the internet, and copied to a personal desktop, where anyone can play with the data at will. The original material will not be affected. It is available to the Lacandón community as well. Of course, there are technical challenges. The technology is not available to the Lacandones, and they are not familiar with computers. But given that the motivation is there and the resources made available, the corpus is there for the Lacandones to use for their own purposes.
