Latin American Studies presents:

Encompassing the enormous area from México to Tierra del Fuego, Latin America is home to an ethnically diverse and culturally vibrant population of over five hundred million. With a rich history extending over several centuries, Latin America is also a major player in the world economy.

The program in Latin American Studies offers students a broad interdisciplinary understanding of this important geocultural area and mastery of the Spanish language.

There are two programs:

-Interdisciplinary
and
-Literary and Cultural Studies

Both programs lead to General (Minor), Major and Honours degrees.

Students are encouraged to create specialized fields of expertise in combination with disciplines such as Anthropology, Education, Geography, History, History in Art, Music, Political Science and others.
