We have over thirty-seven 35mm slide projectors in our rental stock. Each
comes in a kit that contains:
- one slide projector
- one remote control
- one remote extension
- one lens (100-150)
- one slide tray
- one spare bulb
- one a/c power cord
To insert the lens into the projector, line up the teeth on the side of the lens with the keyway on the projector.
Gently push the lens in until you hear a "click", then use the focus knob
to draw the lens into place. The lens should move smoothly into the projector, without being forced. To make the image on the screen bigger or smaller,
turn the outer portion on the lens.
The power cable is wrapped up under the body of the
projector.
To use the auto focus, project your first slide onto the screen.
Manually focus the image with the focus knob and then turn on the auto focus switch.
This will 'teach' the projector what the focus distance is, so that it will focus each slide similarly. The auto focus has to be set everytime
the projector is moved. At anytime, you can override the auto focus by using the manual focus
on the remote control.
To change a bulb: Make sure that the projector is turned off and is cool to
the touch. On the back of the projector, directly behind the lens, you will see
a small door held closed by a slot head screw. There are sometimes two small doors on the projector. The one you need will have the light bulbs directly behind it, not the interior glass lenses. Open this door and pull the lamp assembly unit out of the projector.
Be sure that the assembly unit is not hot, as serious burns
can occur from handling both the assembly and the lamp. Beside the bulb you will see
a metal arm that will help you remove the old bulb. The replacement bulb will be in a box marked either EXR, ENG, or ELH. Insert the new bulb into the socket, following the two grooves. Discard the old bulb.
