Rikk Watts, PhD (Cambridge), Professor of New Testament Studies at Regent College, Vancouver, has taught at Gordon Conwell (Boston) and Wycliffe Hall (Oxford).

Western philosophy and science, with all their undeniable benefits, have not provided a lasting basis for human meaning.  A possible reason is that neither has taken seriously enough the ontological priority of history (Croce).  Virtue and knowledge, as ends in themselves, fail to grasp the true nature of either humanity or reality.
