Summer Japanese Language / Culture Immersion Program

Doshisha Women's College (Kyoto 8 weeks)

This is a program for female students only, who have finished PAAS 131 (JAPA150) level with a preceding mark for PAAS 230 (JAPA249). With the successful completion of this program, students will receive a credit for PAAS 230 (JAPA249) (3 units) and a culture course (1.5 units).

* This program covers the same materials as the UVic PAAS 230 (JAPA249) course. With the successful completion of this program, students can register for PAAS 330 (JAPA311).

Konan University (Kobe, 6 weeks)

This program is for both male and female students, who have successfully finished PAAS 131 (JAPA150). With the successful completion of this program, students will receive a credit for PAAS 131 (JAPA249) (3 units) or a 300-level Japanese language course (3 units). Students may be able to receive a credit for a culture course (1.5 units), if they arrange the project before they leave.
