Year-by-Year Overview
1st Year
- PAAS 100
- Any class in Chinese, Japanese, or Indonesian language. (If you’re a native speaker or have studied these languages before, your choices will be a bit different.)
- Any other 100 or 200 level class you’d like.
2nd Year
- PAAS 200
- Continuations of the Asian language that you chose in your 1st year.
- Any other 100 or 200 level class you’d like.
3rd Year
- One of: PAAS 300, PAAS 301, or PAAS 302
- Language classes, if you’d like (highly recommended for all students)
- Any other 300 or 400 level class you’d like.
4th Year
- PAAS 400 (if you haven't taken 300, 301, or 302, you will take one of these, too)
- Language classes, if you’d like (highly recommended for all students)
- Any other 300 or 400 level class you’d like.
So, to sum up, our students will take:
- PAAS 100
- PAAS 200
- One of PAAS 300, PAAS 301, or PAAS 302
- 9 units of Chinese or Japanese language, or 6 units of Indonesian (plus three units of 100 -level culture classes)
- 12 units of PAAS courses numbered 300 or higher
