Grad Portraits - Year Round

We are a University service, open year round, located in the Social Sciences and Math Building (SSM), room B345.

Inquiries regarding appointments for studio sittings can be made in person, by e-mail at gradpic@uvic.ca, or by calling 721-8281, Monday-Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.

A sitting fee of $20 (including tax) will be charged for your photographic studio session of eight poses. This is payable at the time of your appointment. The sitting itself takes about one-half hour and all regalia is provided (Doctoral hoods must be rented from the Bookstore). The top of the black graduate gown comes approximately to your collarbone. You are welcome to drop by our office to view sample portraits.

• Women may choose to wear either a button-up shirt that will show above the gown neckline, or something low enough that only the gown neckline shows.
• Men should wear a dress shirt, with or without a tie.

Your proof sheet and print order form will be available for pick-up within one week after your appointment, or can be mailed to you (included in sitting fee). Proof sheets are also available via e-mail. Final prints take about three weeks from the time we receive your order.

* Black and white prints are available at the same price. For black and white prints with coloured hoods, add 50%. Print prices are subject to HST. Postage and handling apply to mail orders for prints.
