Volunteer as a PSN workshop facilitator

Would you like to help create a safer and more inclusive space for people of all gender identities and sexual orientations?  Do you enjoy facilitating workshops, or would you like to gain more experience as a facilitator?  Consider volunteer as a Positive Space Network workshop facilitator.

The Positive Space Network (PSN) is a visible network of students, faculty, staff and alumni who are working to make the University of Victoria a safer and more inclusive space for people of all genders and sexualities.  The PSN hosts workshops for campus community members who would like to learn more about issues affecting the LGBTQ communities. Each workshop is always facilitated by two people and the participant-led format makes each workshop unique.  The time commitment is about 4 hours/month for a minimum commitment, if possible, of 4 months. Workshops are generally scheduled on campus between 9am and 9pm. If you are enthusiastic about inclusion and engaging others in discussion about queer/trans culture/issues, this is the opportunity for you!

This opportunity is available to anyone who is part of the University of Victoria community (students, faculty, staff, alumni, etc).

To apply or for more information, please email us at psn@uvic.ca.

The Positive Space Network encourages volunteer applications from people of all sexual orientations and genders, persons with disabilities, members of visible minorities, Aboriginal Peoples and others who may contribute to the further diversification of the PSN and UVic.
