Ken Leslie

Ken Leslie has undergraduate degrees in Systems Design Engineering and Psychology from the University of Waterloo. He did his Ph.D. in Neuroscience at Brandeis University in Massachusetts, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship in Cognitive Neuroscience at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire.
He has written papers on such diverse topics as sleep psychology, synaptic plasticity, and the neurobiology of empathy, and has experience working with EEG, whole cell patch clamp, and fMRI. More recently, he has worked with the Haida people of Masset BC developing language learning stop motion animated movies to support Haida language learning in that community. His current research interests include early childhood music education, second language learning, and cross cultural psychology.
