Philosophy and Techniques of University Teaching.

Personal Outlook and Teaching Objectives

This page links to selected essays on the practice of University-level teaching.  Students in my courses could benefit from reading these in two ways.

  1. It might help them see the reasons for my classroom practices and recognize that these practices, while atypical within their education, are not idiosyncratic, hare-brained schemes.
  2. It might help them understand the learning processes and stages they are now going through, and expand their horizons.

I get these twice a week and will try to post the best and most interesting.
