The Partners to Parents Study

Expecting your first baby? The Partners to Parents Study is seeking couples who are expecting their first child to help us understand how couples adjust to becoming parents for the first time. If you and your partner are currently living together and are expecting your first child, you may qualify to participate.

You and your partner will come to UVic for a 3.5 hour visit during your third trimester. You will fill out a number of questionnaires about yourself and your relationship, complete an interview, and participate in some conversations with your partner. Next, we will contact you on your baby's first birthday and ask you to fill out some more questionnaires about your experiences in the last year. You and your partner will each receive a $50 honorarium for the lab visit and $25 for the follow-up questionnaires, for a total of $150 compensation for your time.

Your participation will help us understand more about how couples go through the process of becoming parents, and how this process affects partners and their new families.
