BC introduced an Environmental Handling Fee (EHF) for designated regulated electronic products effective August 1, 2007. These fees will apply at the point of purchase for equipment that is covered under this program. Suppliers are required to collect and incorporate the respective levy in the purchase price. Invoices issued to the University by Suppliers are to include these fees effective August 1, 2007. Both GST and PST apply to these fees.
The Computer Store at UVic will assess these fees for products covered by the EHF, and include them on their invoices and sale prices.
