UVic Chemistry Alumni and Friends Reception: Tuesday, June 14, 2011 - 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. In the lobby of the Bob Wright Centre for Ocean, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences. Join us for a fun evening to welcome our newest Chemistry alumni, the 2011 graduates, catch up with old friends, take in a lecture or tour, and enjoy some delicious appetizers and sweets. February 1st, 2011: Free Public Lecture 'Why Science Matters' by author and physicist Dr. Brian Greene, as the Vifor Pharma distinguished speaker.
The talk starts at 7:30 PM in the Farquhar Auditorium in the University Centre, followed by a book signing at 8:45 PM.
