Please note that the courses listed here represent a complete offering of courses recommended for first year students. Not all courses may be offered in any given year. Refer to the Online Timetable to find out if a particular course will be offered in the upcoming session.

Please also note that courses from one Faculty may not always be granted credit in another Faculty, or there may be limits on the amount of such credit permitted; please refer to the University Calendar for details.

All undergraduate students enrolled in a degree program are required to complete a 1.5 unit AWR-designated course. The courses that meet the requirement are ENGL 135, 146, 147, and ENGR 110. PHYS 120 and 130 are intended for prospective Honours or Major Physics and Astronomy students with a strong background in Physics and Mathematics. PHYS 102 is an algebra-based survey course aimed at students in the life sciences. PHYS 110 and 111 are a calculus-based survey of Physics which satisfies the requirements for most programs that require first-year physics including Engineering. If you are not sure which 3.0 unit sequence to take, we recommend PHYS 110 and 111.

All courses are open to non-majors except WRIT 100. WRIT 100 is open for majors only until noon on July 29 and open to all students after July 29.
