Health and Aging


Our researchers addresses the most important and current topics in sociology and in society today – inequalities and inequities in health, the social determinants of health and healthy aging, understanding the experience of health and of illness, and health care systems and policies. They are also committed to seeing that their research makes a difference in people’s lives by focusing on people’s health-related experiences, citizen involvement and community engagement in health and health care decision-making. Students in this program will be able to take courses in and explore research on a variety of topics in these areas.
