This year marks the first decade of UVics Hispanic and Italian Studies interdisciplinary colloquium. This years colloquium will feature papers by keynote speakers from universities near and far on the theme of Love and Hate in the Hispanic and Italian World. All are welcome to this free cultural event, which takes place Oct. 26 and 27 from 10 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. in University Centre A180. The public is also cordially invited to attend an illustrated lecture by Nöel Valis of The Johns Hopkins University, who will speak on Womens Culture in 1893: Spain and the Chicago Worlds Fair at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 25 in Clearihue A309.
