Audain’s $2-million gift a boon to visual arts
Visual Arts students at the University of Victoria will benefit from a $2-million gift from BC art philanthropist Michael Audain and the Audain Foundation. The gift will establish the Audain Professorship in Contemporary Art Practice of the Pacific Northwest, bringing a distinguished practicing artist to teach in UVic’s Department of Visual Arts.
UVic Sailing Club has picked up wind
UVic’s Sailing Club played host to sailing teams from six schools at the second annual Western Canada Cup Regatta on March 14 in Victoria’s beautiful Cadboro Bay. Only the second of its kind ever in western Canada, the event offered student sailors an opportunity to showcase their nautical skills and engage in a bit of friendly competition.
