Finally, graduation is here – now I have a pile of adult decisions to make
Finally the time has come; I’m graduating. I have handed in my last essay and I am studying for my last final. I just attended a workshop that was offered at UVic about repaying my student loans and it really sunk in that I need to start thinking about not only about what I’ll be doing for the summer, but what I’ll be doing for the rest of my life.
A co-operative learning retrospective
During the summer of 2008, I was lucky enough to be hired for a co-operative education work term as a reporter for the Whitehorse Star. I was at the beginning of my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Creative Writing and knew I needed a job if I had any hope of ever paying off my student loans.
Looking back on my first year
University life is a tremendous transition from the typical high school experience. After growing up in a small town where familiarity is an understatement, my university experience gave me confidence and the space to mature and develop as an individual.
