The SPOKES Bicycle Bursary Program

Started in September 2003, SPOKES is a bicycle bursary program at the University of Victoria campus which combines recycling with cycling. The project aims to divert old, unwanted bicycles from the landfill by fixing them up and lending them out to students.

Bicycle bursaries are awarded monthly (you can use the bicycle for up to one year) and short term rental of bicycles can be arranged. You can learn more about SPOKES here.
