Mandate
The Advisory Committee on Benefits shall
a) Act as a liaison between faculty members and other employee groups and the University administration on health and welfare benefit issues
b) Examine and make recommendations with respect to innovations and economies of scale that will result in cost savings while maintaining or enhancing existing coverage
c) Be consulted prior to any rate adjustment
d) Be consulted with respect to a decision or take a benefit plan(s) to tender
e) Be consulted on the choice of plan carrier

Faculty Association: 3 representatives
Other employee groups: 1 member each
University Administration: 3 members in an ex officio capacity
