The purpose of the Seminars Committee is to coordinate pertinent, relevant, and occasionally irreverent lunchtime seminars, offered once per month throughout the year, which enhance the personal and professional development of PEA members.
The committee meets, in person, 2 times per year and carries out most business via discussion list or email. Committee members are each required to organize 2-3 sessions per year.
Member Duties include: devising ideas for seminars, contacting potential speakers, negotiating appropriate time for events, bookings rooms, coordinating any AV needs, notifying PEA members via listserv, attending the session to introduce presenter and giving a gift certificate to the presenter as thanks from the PEA.
