Tom GoreTom Gore has been Chair of the University of Victoria PEA chapter, on UVic's PEA Bargaining Teams in 1996 and 2001 and a UVic representative at the 1999 and 2002 PEA Restructuring Conferences. He is also the Association's Second Vice President and sits on its Policy Review Committee. Tom runs the Department of Biology's Advanced Imaging Laboratory, a research and graduate teaching facility filled with lasers, microscopes and computerized imaging equipment for visualizing the impossible for the difficult. He came to the university from a background in commercial and fine art photography, specializing in fashion and architecture. Tom also had a faculty appointment in the Writing Department for twenty years where he taught photojournalism. He still photographs, especially the landscape and the nude, and has several projects underway in Italy, France and the UK and exhibits extensively. His website is http://tomgore.ca.
