51 Welcome to new member(s):

l  New Director Lynn McCaughey was welcomed to the Chapter Executive

 

52 AGM, elections and general organizational matters

·        Cliff will be contacting the elections committee in preparation for the Fall election

·        Positions currently held by Rebecca, Catherine, Lynn, and Cliff will be filled in the upcoming election

·        Preparations for the November 12th AGM were discussed

·        Ernie presented a comprehensive report on his recent activities

 

621 PDF versions of LOAs

o   Rebecca proposed that all LOAs be available on the chapter website.

631 Local Representatives ­ (Gore):

·        Sheryl Karras has resumed the role of LRO in the BEC building

·        Tom and Ernie have been clarifying membership lists

·        Tom reports that LROs are required in the following buildings: TEF, ASB, Bob Wright, MSS, and Shelbourne

·        Matching employees to buildings/LROs has been challenging

·        Move to appoint Chris Coey of Linguistics as the alternate PEA representative on the University Safety Committee MSC (Gore/Kenny)

·        Moved that the UVic Chapter donate $200 to the UVic Child Care Action Group MSC (Gore/Foxgord)
