5.3 Staff Officer (Doyle)
Doyle is working on a number of issues for PEA membership:
Carried forward to the next Directors meeting.
This Subcommittee was previously referred to in minutes as the "Education/Professional Development Subcommittee". There was concern that this title might cause confusion between the professional development allowance afforded PEA membership under the UVic/PEA Contract and the initiative of the PEA UVic Chapter Executive to form a budget subcommittee to examine how PEA dues available to the UVic Chapters might be employed in support of PEA membership education and professional development.

The subcommittee struck by the PACC has delivered their report to the
VP Finance and Operations. PEA membership had the perception that the report

that the report be made public.
6. WCB Regulations
New WCB regulations introduce new employer responsibilities to reduce
the potential for repetitive strain inquiries (RSI) in the work place.
Our Union informed the University that they have concerns about their personal

The Performance Review Committee is therefore considering recommending a paper form with an associated procedure manual. The draft of this paper form is anticipated to be ready for review at the next Association/University meeting.
