The Pensions and Investments Office

The purpose of Pensions & Investments is to administer the pension benefits for members of the University of Victoria pension plans, to oversee investment programs and to support the Board of Pension Trustees and various pension committees.

Included in the University of Victoria pension plans are:

• the Combination Pension Plan;
• the Money Purchase Pension Plan;
• the Staff Pension Plan;
• and the Supplemental Benefit Arrangement.

The administration of pension benefits includes verifying, recording and maintaining member data, calculating and paying pension benefits, producing benefit statements, responding to member requests for pension plan information, producing publications and communications for the plans, producing financial statements and annual reports, and preparing various reports for regulators. Oversight of investments includes maintaining investment policies and mandates, monitoring external investment managers for compliance with policies, managing the allocation of the University's short term investments and working with investment consultants on investment strategy matters.

Pensions and Investments is located on the 2nd floor of the Administrative Services Building, Room B278.
