Phoenix Brewery

    Charles Gowen established the Phoenix Brewery in 1868.  It was one of the larger breweries in Victoria and was located at Yates and Blanshard..  In 1892 it amalgamated with the Victoria Brewery to create the Victoria-Phoenix Brewery.
