Andy Smith
Andy (from UVic Chemistry) worked in our group as an undergraduate summer student in 2002. He studied the adsorption of organic dyes on silver surfaces using surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS). Andy used our Dilor OMARS89 Raman spectrometer to investigate the ratio between the Stokes and the anti-Stokes SERS scattering. His results helped us to understand the role of charge transfer resonance on the preferentially enhanced anti-Stokes SERS and led to a publication at Phys. Rev. B. Andy now works as an analytical chemist in Vancouver.
