Two postodctoral fellow positions: Photon-counting CT imaging

The XCITE Lab is seeking two highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to develop machine learning tools for photon-counting computed tomography (PCCT) imaging in the Department of Physics and Astronomy of University of Victoria. Candidates from underrepresented groups (Indigenous applicants, women, people of color, etc.) will be given preference. Postodctoral fellow position: FLASH radiotherapy

The XCITE Lab is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to conduct simulation work on FLASH radiotherapy with megavoltage x-rays in the Department of Physics and Astronomy of University of Victoria. Graduate student (MSc or PhD) positions for students from underrepresented groups

The XCITE Lab is seeking highly motivated MSc or PhD students from an underrepresented group to join our CAMPEP-accredited Medical Physics program in the Department of Physics and Astronomy of University of Victoria to start in September 2022. Only candidates from underrepresented groups (Indigenous applicants, women, people of color, etc.) will be considered for this position. Three-month full-time research project

We offer a great opportunity for a capable and dedicated student to help develop a novel x-ray radiotherapy source! This is a full-time high-importance research project funded by a company in the San Francisco Bay Area. As stated in the advertisement for the position, this is a full-time project and will require 30+ hr/week. If you are eligible, please apply as soon as possible, the project can start immediately!


Undergraduate research projects

Due to the overwhelming response to the previous advertisement, I will be offering more projects to undegraduate students at the end of 2015 and in the beginning of 2016. While the projects will likely not be funded in their early stages, they will give students a great opportunity to learn about Medical Physics and broaden their experimental and computational skills. Python project on imaging of conformal small animal irradiators
