Costume information workshop details

Fridur will by bringing with her samples of various costumes and other components such as headgear, belts, vests and embroidery, she will illustrate techniques to recreate the authentic look. Fabric samples, patterns, books and pamphlets will also be part of her presentation.
The 6 Hour Workshop includes:

• History and description of Icelandic costumes Upphlutur, Peysufot, Skautbuningur, Kyrtill, and costumes for children and men
• Samples of costumes and appropriate fabrics
• Books, pamphlets and patterns
• Explanation of all elements - belts, embroidery, head-dresses, caps, silver and gilt ornaments, buttons, lacework, shawls, capes, etc.
