Welcome to the Chow lab.

We are interested in the mechanisms underlying the formation and function of the vertebrate eye. Much of our research is aimed at understanding how neuronal cell type diversity is generated in the retina. We are also interested in how the genes that affect these processes are involved in normal vision and ocular disease/dysfunction. Toward this aim, our lab uses a variety of molecular, genetic and developmental biology approaches.
