Hello,
I am interested in helping with the community garden, however I don’t have very much gardening experience. I am also looking to be a part of a club with a social aspect to it so I can meet new people in the community. When would be a good time for me to come help in the garden? I have a friend who loves gardening that does not attend UVic, would they be welcome as well?

Hi Miranda! Sorry we didn’t get to your post sooner. I think we’ve already connected, but in case that was a different Miranda, and for those out there with the same question, the fastest way to get in touch is email: ccgarden@uvic.ca.
We have limited space, a long waitlist, and a need to be as relevant as possible to UVic. We keep our membership to people who have a connection to UVic (staff, student, alumni, faculty etc). I’m not sure what their current status is, but I think the next closest community garden to UVic would be Gordon Head Allotment Gardens Association (Gordon Head Road and Faltham 477-5764).
