Mastering Chemistry

Once you have logged in to the Mastering Chemistry site, you MUST first do the Introduction to Mastering Chemistry.

Then try either version of the Practice Quiz. (They're identical except some due date settings.) These do not count for marks in your course grade, but they are additional Chemistry review and an additional test of the functionality of your web browser.

Items labeled Homework Assignments are also not graded, and they have due date settings that enable the maximum student access throughout the term.

Items called Graded Quizzes are timed quizzes that count toward your course grade.

Although you may complete suggested homework assignments with your study group, you are expected to work the on-line quizzes individually.

You must complete the quizzes according to the assigned schedule. Note that missed Graded Quizzes count as zero.

There are 8 on-line quizzes. When you log in to the Mastering Chemistry site, you will notice that the Due Date for any given Graded Quiz is included as part of the name/title of that Graded Quiz.

The due dates for the Graded Quizzes will be TBA at "almost-midnight". Stay tuned for which days.

It is to your advantage to do the quizzes on a weekly basis rather than attempt them near the deadline.
