Contribute to Expressions

We are currently looking for papers in the fields of International Relations, Political Theory, Canadian Politics, and Comparative Politics, that have received an A- or higher.

Essays that merit publishing in Expressions are well-written essays that provide a compelling and well-articulated argument. The essay should be academic in style, and use scholarly sources to support its argument. The tone of the essay is confident, and is not merely a review of the literature on the subject. Where possible, the essay contributes a different scholarly perspective than is usually presented on the subject in question.

Submissions to Expressions are welcomed from students at the undergraduate level. Main feature articles are between 4000-4500 words, including notes and references. There are additional regular length articles in each issue that are between 2500-3000 words. References and notes shall be made using Chicago Style footnoting (see http://nutsandbolts.washcoll.edu/chicago.html)

Submissions are typically only received electronically either by email, to expressions.CPSSA@uvic.ca, or by using our Online Uploader.

Please be sure to include which class your paper was written for, and the university you are attending in the email. Where possible, please include any notes as an attached .doc file.

All submissions will undergo the peer-review process, and the names of each author will be ommitted for privacy.
